Love in Daily Life
Love in Our daily Life
Venus is not just around the fire in large planned ritual. We are Venus; we are the beloved, and we carry love and her temple with us throughout our lives. One thing the community is working on is figuring out how to love with intent in a broader context and carry the temple with us.
This page gives suggestions that people have found useful to put intent behind love in their lives. By all means add, refine and edit; build our resources.
Short Items
- For some period of time consciously offer something to venus every day as an act of love; you may learn new things about what love means as well as how you approach it.
- Create an experience for someone else where they can live in the moment free to be loved, free to love.
- Choose to live in the best of all possible worlds

A Birthday Moment of Joy by {{userlink user=hartmans}}
Last year, I was trying to figure what to get my daughter for her birthday. I was searching gifts and came across a rythm band set; a number of percussion instruments for her to play with. A vision of joy dropped into my head, and I purchased the set hoping with all my will that she could find joy and love in what the gift enabled.
As it happened I was out of the room at her birthday party when she opened the gift. I noticed anyway. She lead a screaming mob of children through the house playing band! We were all treated to a group of un-self-conscious kids living in the moment, screaming, playing, exploring rythm and joy.
What was really amusing is the reaction of the adults. Some just relaxed and let the kids have their moment, rejoycing in the simple pleasure. Others struggled with the situation. They couldn't quite bring themselves to tell the kids that they couldn't play with toys at a birthday party, but that much unrestrained joy and noise was out of their comfort zone.
With full intent, I succeded in giving my daughter a moment to live in the moment, confident in herself, confident in love. And I offered everyone a chance to be a child for a moment.
